Within the walls of Central Hall Westminster, London on February 22, 2022, Podcast Radio UK hosted a wonderfully insightful event, Podcast Futures. The event brought together a wealth of leaders from the global podcasting space, inspiring thought-provoking conversation about the trajectory of podcasting’s future.
Taking the stage midday was our very own Damian Scragg, General Manager, International - who moderated an insightful panel discussion regarding what success in the podcasting space sounds like. He was joined by Flora Williams of Manning Gottlieb, Neil Cowling of Fresh Air Productions and Andrew Goldsmith of Adelicious.
Neil Cowling from Fresh Air Productions underscored the importance of setting clear intentions with a branded podcast in order to ensure success; confidently stating, “if you don’t understand what you want your audience to think about you, then don’t do it.”
Flora Williams of Manning Gottlieb emphasized the importance of implementing standardized metrics, an aspect of the industry that is starting to come to fruition.
Andrew Goldsmith of Adelicious brought it home, emphasizing the importance of coming together as an industry and producing more data (and essentially, evidence) to further prove the effectiveness of podcasting as a marketing channel.
